About

Trying to replicate recipes from some of the best, modern-day chefs for the kosher-eating world.

I have no formal culinary training, just an appetite for new and terrific food. Wanna see if I can do it?

Hey, Yehuda, I love your blog! I didn’t see any way to become a follower, but I’ll check in often to see what you’re up to. The pictures are making me hungry already! My Shabbat dinner tonight will be nothing compared to yours, I’m sure.

  2. I look forward to your recipes! What are your favorite Kosher restaurants?

Well, I’d obviously have to put Tierra Sur at the top of the fine- dining category.
I was in Israel a year ago, and visited a place called Kiyara, which had some truly fantastic appetizers and desserts. The entrees there were not anything to write home about.
I wouldn’t consider Abigail’s in Manhattan to be in the same category as Tierra Sur, but for a high class steakhouse, I think that it’s the best combination of value and very good taste.
And I do have to make mention of The Fish Grill, in L.A. It really is a perfect niche restaurant. Their fish taco’s are outstanding, everything is fresh and delicious, and they give a very large amount of food, for very reasonable prices.
      What are your favorites?

I hope you will go try out Bistro at Canyons. Food is off the charts. Try their beef cheek gnocchi. its at Canyons Resort, Park City, Utah. Greatest Snow on Earth:) You can eat kosher and ski all at once! Try it out! http://www.canyonsresort.com/kosher Judging from your writing it seems you will LOVE it!

Thanks for the recommendation. I know a few people who have been there and they all loved it. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to make the trip out at this point. Hopefully someday soon!
